Boating

East Pond welcomes all safe boaters. A public boat launch located on the South end of the lake off East Pond Rd. Please be mindful of the requests of the courtesy boat inspectors and help them identify any occurrences of vegetation, specifically milfoil. . Milfoil, once admitted to our lake, grows so quickly that it takes over the lake, affecting both fishing and swimming.

Ask for a copy of Maine Boating Laws and Open Fishing Regulations for information about fishing and boating on East Pond.  These are available from the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife of the State of Maine, or from the town clerks in Oakland and Smithfield.
